Following a site review highlighting critical areas requiring repair, including severe pot holes, faded line marking and damaged civils elements, we were instructed by the client to complete a full resurfacing of the entire car park and entrance road to the superstore.

NMC was approached by our client to repair a severely dilapidated entranceway into the safari park and main car parks. Repairs were required to 39 areas, with a limited budget due to the parks closure, in line with COVID pandemic protocols, NMC maximised the repairs within the budget available.
BP Bedford – Go Greener Project
NMC was approached by our client to complete resurfacing works to an existing BP Petrol Station in Bedford. In line with BP’s mission, to become net-zero carbon by 2050, NMC proposed a new sustainable approach to their maintenance projects, using innovative materials to support their overall mission, NMC proposed using the Ultilow warm mix material and the rubber modified asphalt’s.
Tesco Brighouse – Go Greener Project
Tesco’s approached retail specialists NMC to complete critical car park repairs to its superstore in Brighouse. Following an initial scoping visit in March issues with levels, safety critical areas and drainage were identified. NMC produced a full survey of the asset and provided a report outlining the immediate repairs required. Collaborating with our client and supply chain a proposal was put forward to Tesco to complete the works using a Reduced Emissions Asphalt (REA) with added environmental benefits.
Euro Garages Stoke – Go Greener Project
Our client approached NMC to resurface a refurbishment project at an existing BP filling station. The new amenities include a shop, pharmacy, bakery, ATMs as well as new fuel pumps, jet wash and electric car charging points. However our client was looking for a sustainable material and asks the experts for assistance.
Waterproofing Tesco Ferndown
NMC complete 12 week project to the top deck at Tesco Ferndown. Our specialists engineered an alternative solution for our client to remove circa 90% of the weight from the top deck.
Social Distancing – Line Marking 245 Tesco Stores
NMC was asked by Supermarket giant Tesco to investigate possibilities to assist with the social distancing guidelines they would have to implement around their click and collect units at 245 stores.
NHS Nightingale Hospital, Birmingham
Within hours of a call from our client, NMC were able to mobilise our Southern team to complete line marking works at the NHS Nightingale Hospital, Birmingham.
Euro Garages, Gateway1000 Service Station
As a petrochemical and retail specialist NMC was awarded a surfacing and road marking project at a new build petroleum forecourt and service area situated at Gateway1000, Arlington Business Park in Stevenage.
Two Rivers Shopping Centre, Staines
As surfacing specialists in the retail environment, NMC was approached by our client, one of the UK’s biggest property management companies, to complete construction, maintenance and repair works at the Two Rivers Shopping Centre in Staines. A busy car park that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week reaching an average of 4,000 customers a day. The works incorporated surfacing, line marking, drainage and a large civils element in the redevelopment of the entrance to the south and west car park, creating a new roundabout and entrance resulting in additional parking space and the re-positioning of an iconic statue. The resurfacing works covered the complete 26,000m² car park, delivery road and entranceways.
McArthurGlen Ashford Designer Outlet
Following recent work with our client at their site in York, McArthurGlen approached NMC to complete a large-scale resurfacing and civil engineering project at their site in Ashford Kent.Ashford Designer Outlet is an architectural spectacle, with the large 24,000m² car park in the centre of the egg-shaped structure offering 1090 parking spaces. Designer stores line the exterior and include names such as Nike, Boss, Radley and Ralph Lauren.
Shell Easington Services
Our client procured the services of petrochem specialists NMC to carry out major ashphalt repair works to the existing and highly deteriorated HGV parking area of the service station at Easington East. The service station itself is situated on the highlt trafficked A19 south of Newcastle-Upon-Tyme.
Grand National Retail Park
NMC was approached by the Property Agent for Grand National Retail Park to resurface the 2,687M² car park and service road at the site in Aintree. The site was home to other stakeholders including Pure Gym, Toby Carvery, KFC, Aintree International Equestrian Centre and a Premier Inn.
Walthamstow Service, London
NMC have completed works at Walthamstow services situated on the A406 North Circular in London. Following a site survey the project was awarded to NMC that included over 550m² resurfacing, concrete repairs to eight areas of the forecourt area, the installation of new F900 Fibrelite inspection covers and thermoplastic marking.
The NEC, Birmingham
Our client approached NMC to restore a dilapidated coach parking area at the NEC in Birmingham. Following a recent meeting at a supplier day our client awarded NMC this project because of our experience and capabilities particular with surfacing and drainage.
NMC were awarded the contract for a complete resurfacing project at ASDA Wigan. The site entailed over 18,000m² of resurfacing using 1,300 tonnes of material with a full relining scheme, signs, and installation of bollards and landscaping.
Highfield Park Trust
Following some recent funding to the trust that was established in 1996, the client contacted NMC to assist in the redevelopment of their deteriorating footpaths. This enquiry came following a recommendation to the trust by a previous park and recreational project completed by an NMC Project Manager. With a site visit by NMC we were able to advise on some cost saving measures that enabled the client to extend the area of resurfacing in their initial plans.
Premier Inn Luton
NMC were asked by Premier Inn to restore a number of their sites particularly in the south. Premier Inn Luton situated one mile from Luton Airport was in desperate need of restoration. Large pot holes and surface de-lamination had occurred at the entrance to the hotel and restaurant causing potential tripping hazards and a greater possibility of damage to vehicles.
Our client contacted NMC to provide a number of maintenance repairs to their Petrol Forecourt sites across the UK. Following a site survey by NMC recommendations were passed to the client tailored to meet their needs for the Esso site in Washington
BT approached NMC to provide a number of maintenance repairs to their sites across the UK. Large areas of the parking and walkways at BT Fleet were at the end of their life-cycle and posed a significant risk due to dangerous potholes and uneven surfaces.
Tesco called upon NMC outside of our framework area to resurface their car park at Thurso, on the north coast of Scotland. The project required 4,600m² of car park resurfacing and 55l/m of ACO channel replacement.
Tesco called upon NMC to resurface their car park at Inverness. The project required 4,208m² of car park resurfacing a new speed hump at the store entrance and full ACO channel replacement.
Two Rivers – Drainage
NMC was approached by our client at Two Rivers Shopping Centre in Staines to complete a full maintenance package of their entire car park, this included the drainage element. CCTV surveying the 250m of drainage and repairing damaged drains with no dig technology.
Tesco Castle Douglas
As a framework supplier to supermarket giant Tesco, NMC was tasked with the resurfacing project at Castle Douglas in Dumfries. The project required 4,022m² of car park resurfacing and resetting an additional 200m² of block paving.
Petrochem specialist NMC were asked to carry out concrete repairs and resurfacing works on a Shell Petroleum Forecourt and McDonalds Restaurant service area in Tankersley, Barnsley. Following a site visit by NMC to evaluate the repairs the decision was made by our client to replace the 1,550m² area.
With the popularity of this petrol station and the amount of traffic this forecourt sees in a single day, the surface course leading to and from the forecourt and the HGV lane was in dire need of repair. Large pot holes and surface cracking were visible and would eventually lead to site health and safety issues if not corrected.

Our client required urgent car park repairs due to severe failings down to age. NMC Surfacing were requested to complete the repairs to the car park situated next to the busy store. Due to the severity of the damage to the surface course and binder course, the area required planing to a depth of 100mm before resurfacing.

ABP Greasley Way, Immingham
A business located next to the road was suffering from water damage due to the condition of the road and the volume of HGVs using it during flooded periods. Our client wanted to correct the problem and prevent further disruption for the business owner.
The client required a full internal and external relining and demarcation programme to be carried out at their distribution centre. NMC Surfacing was invited to survey the site and submit a tender for the works
Our client required a full refurbishment of their car park, including surfacing, civils, and landscaping works. This project had to be carried out during the day due to EA restrictions. The store is a live site situated in a busy town centre; minimal disruption to the local community and trading hours was essential.
The client initially employed us to carry out some minor asphalt repair works in the HGV fuel filling area of the service station. Prior to commencing these works our highly-experienced surveyors visited the site and identified further areas that required urgent attention due to subsided, defective, and failed surfacing.
Harvey Centre, Harlow
Our client required a full repair to be carried out on the upper deck of their multi-storey car park in a busy town centre shopping mall. The client wanted to use the repair as an opportunity to increase parking bays where possible.
Our client had identified surface failures in the pick-up/collection area of the car park at their busy store. These failures extended onto the main access road and were creating potential health and safety issues.

Our Client had a busy Designer Outlet with significant areas of car park that were failing due to age, these areas needed to be resurfaced with minimal disruption to both the retailers and the public.
Our client had several large areas of concrete carriageway that had fallen into disrepair. Repairs were to be carried out with minimal disruption to prevent any interruption of production.

Riverside Retail Park, Norwich
The client had identified areas of the car park that had fallen into disrepair. The car park belonged to a busy Retail Park and consideration needed to be given to the effect any disruption may have on trade.
shell Ockbrook, Derby

Tesco Superstore, Fakenham
As part of their maintenance programme, our client had significant areas of their car park that required machine patching and white lining. This project had to be completed during a single Sunday evening to ensure minimal disruption to trading hours and to the public.
