Surface dressing resin bonded gravel
As a low budget maintenance option, surface dressing can be used to dramatically improve the lifespan of existing macadam surface, by sealing the area and providing a new skid resistant surface. This is achieved by tar spraying the existing area with liquid bitumen followed by the application of loose chippings. For domestic applications a wide range of natural aggregates can be used to provide a decorative finish.
Resin Bonding is an attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance, weed free natural surface. It can be used on Pedestrian Walkways, Cycleways, Car Parks, Footbridges and Traffic Calming Schemes or as a general Anti-Skid Surface. Resin Bonded Systems employ clear or tinted binder to display the natural colour of the aggregates used and closely mimic the appearance of traditional loose gravel finishes but with the aggregate held within the binder, provide none of the maintenance problems, and therefore provide a suitable alternative to loose fill.
